MOMS Club Burbank is the local chapter of International MOMS Club®. Our parent organization provides us with guidance and support but each chapter is run by volunteer moms who live in the area. That means each chapter is as unique as the moms who belong to it. It also means that the chapters constantly adapt and grow based on the interests and concerns of the moms within it.
Our chapter plans all sorts of activities for their mothers and children. There are playgroups, babysitting coops and holiday parties, of course, because moms love that for their kids. But there are also activities specifically geared for the moms. Activity groups share interests like cooking, crafts, outings, books, movies and exercise.
Our chapter also plans many different service projects throughout the year to benefit our community. Recent service projects have included: Thank you cards and snacks for Healthcare workers, PPE drive for Burbank Post Offices, Adopt a Family, Burbank Temporary Aid Center food drives, book drives, candy donations for our troops (via Operation Gratitude).
We host a monthly meeting with an interesting speaker or topic for discussion. Speakers can be anyone from a children’s librarian speaking about early reading, to a gardener talking about what grows well in your area, to a psychologist talking about child development, to the Superintendent of Schools talking about school choices in your community — whatever the moms are interested in, we can arrange a speaker for.
If you’re looking for other at-home mothers and want a wide variety of activities for you and your children, we’re the group for you. We can’t wait to meet you!
